- Make the mind, body, spirit connection
This introduction to yoga is safe, gentle and adaptable to all ages and body types.
No yoga experience is necessary. Participation in floor exercises is recommended, but optional. Exercises will be adapted to individual fitness and abilities.
The workshop runs from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, as a one-time only event. Feedback from participants will allow us to assess the desire for additional sessions on yoga.
Workshop leader Susan Stevens has been practicing and studying yoga for more than 20 years. She has been teaching yoga for two years at Heart Center Yoga Studio in Hickory. Her areas of expertise include gentle yoga, restorative yoga, and prenatal/post-partum yoga. She makes the techniques accessible to everyone through modifications and the use of props.
