The Golden Years: Charting Your Path
In this three-part workshop, participants will take stock of their present life situation, as they adapt more or less successfully to their radically changed identity and status as retirees. During the course, each person will analyze his or her current path on a generalized cycle of life, define where they want to be on that cycle and by when, assess their current assets and liabilities in achieving those goals, and plot a course of action to maximize personal success and satisfaction for the future.
Participants can expect a fairly intensive personal experience, gaining insights and skills to walk away with a life plan for the future. Much of the workshop material will be based on the work and publications of the Hudson Institute, based in Santa Barbara, California.
Workshop leader Chuck Adair has over 30 years of experience working with these concepts and techniques in church, nonprofit and corporate settings. He has enabled a broad range of people, including hundreds of executives from major corporations, to clarify and achieve their career and life goals and plans. Dr. Adair holds a bachelor's degree from Princeton, a master of divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary in New York City, and a Ph.D. from Kansas University in social psychology.
