Environmental Mondays
Here's the monthly line-up:
- January 12 - "Who Killed the Electric Car?"
- February 9 - "The Water Front"
- March 9 - "Kilowatt Ours"
- April 6 - Genetically-Modified Food - Film title to be announced
- May 11 - Air Quality - Film title to be announced
Join us for Environmental Mondays one night per month from January through May. You're welcome to view one film, or any number up to the full set of five! We'll be meeting on the second Monday night of the month, except for April. Because of the Easter holiday, we'll meet the first Monday of that month.
There is no pre-registration for this event; the first 180 guests will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no registration fee for this event, although a $5 suggested donation per film will be accepted gladly to help defray costs for the event. Groups of 10 or more are requested to call at least 3 days in advance for reserve seating at 828-324-6966, ext. 2001.
Location for Environmental Mondays is the Belk Centrum at Lenoir-Rhyne University. Our meeting time each evening is 6:30 p.m. until approximately 8:45 p.m.
Our agenda for each evening is to watch a documentary film, take a short break, and then enjoy a lively discussion led by an expert facilitator on the topic of the night. We'll also have a chance to hear from various regional sponsors associated with the topic.
Meanwhile, we'd like to get discussions started right away. Click one of the film links above to learn more about the films and to contribute to our blog on the issues!
